Stepping onto a nude beach in Florida isn't exactly like stepping onto the set of a sultry music video with a cast of extremely attractive, scantily-clad people. It's a little more like stepping onto the set of Cocoon. But you know what? Who cares. But for some reason, Florida has precious few places where you can tan au naturel without fear of embarrassing legal repercussions. So pack up your cooler, bring a little extra sunscreen, and leave your judgment at home. Here are the seven best nude beaches in Florida. So you finally wanna get naked on a beach? Go here first.

Beautiful beach with lots of parking. Best parking lot is lot Clothing optional for those that There is no age requirements You This was our first time to this beach and we were not sure how it would go. We parked in the last parking lot and a guy walks down the beachwalk to his car totally nude.

I'm thinking, crap, this will be just a bunch of naked guys walking the beach and she is not going to like this at all. Walked over the boardwalk and noticed several couples right away,,,ok, this may work, we walk down and took our spot, got naked and started sunning.

I've visited Playalinda Beach 13 on 6 different occasions. The beach is beautiful as is the clean blue water. The people tend to stay to themselves but will speak if spoken to. Since I've gone alone I find it awkward to talk with couples. As many of the other people have stated in their reviews this is considered a nudist beach but during my visits I noticed fully clothed people walking the beach. And of course there's the occasional visitor that will only venture as far as the board walk entrance will take them. And there are no vendors, vending machines or even public restrooms.

Just an old fashion out house. Would I go back, you bet. It's different enough to keep you coming back. You won't regret it. Just bring enough sun screen lotion to cover the white areas that usually don't see the sun. Have fun and kick back. When getting away to the beach from Orlando, we like quiet uncrowded beaches; for the crowds go to Daytona or Cocoa Beach. For a beautiful, pristine, uncrowded beach, go to Playalinda Spanish for "pretty beach". Playalinda Beach is a National Seashore Beach located on Cape Canaveral, and is most famous for being a "nude beach", although unless one knows where to find it, the majority of the beach is not "clothing optional:.

It is acessed from Titusville from State Highway The nudists are located at the very end of the beach to avoid the authorities, but it's not hard to find a spot where not many people will be encountered anywhere along the beach.

It's rather amusing to see see the anti nudity ordinance signs posted everywhere when no one is cavorting around in the buff for miles on this beach. The beach is 4. It looks to be recently paved, and the bathroom facilities, although brick, are still nothing more than fancy outhouses which is the only drawback I can mention.

Other than the bathroom and parking facilities, that's it, so take what you need since there are no service or concession areas. This is what makes this beach special; there is virtually no commercial enterprise there at all. Unlike Cocoa Beach to the south where the water is a murky brown from all of the sand stirred up in the surf, Playalinda has sparkling blue water. There are no lifeguards, so understanding the ocean and rip currents will be helpful; there will be no one to rescue you. If it's an uncrowded, pristine beach to spend the day at, this is it.

It is reached via County Road , the Max Brewer Parkway, from downtown Titusville, which is almost 30 minutes north from Cocoa or an hour from Orlando. Many of the comments here center on the "nude" beach at the very northern part of Playalinda Beach north of parking lot 13, which is at the northern end of the road. However, most of Playalinda Beach is used by more typical beachgoers; the clothing-optional bathers apparently stay in that far northern area.

We used a parking lot farther south -- I think it was lot number 9 or It was a sunny -- but cooler -- day, and the beach wasn't busy, so we had a very secluded feeling. The beach was very wide at that point and there is a high dune between the beach and the road, so we were not disturbed by any passing cars.

Other than the parking lots and toilets, there are absolutely no facilities. If you want a restaurant, it's a mile trip back towards the mainland. However, the lack of crowds and facilities is an advantage if you are wanting a "deserted island" experience.

To the west of the beach and road, there is a large lagoon that is home to sea turtles and manatees. If you park at lot 1 near the southern end of the road, you can walk south on the beach to a barrier that is the boundary with the Kennedy Space Center. From that point, you can see the remaining gantry that was used for Space Shuttle launches, and farther south, gantries that are used for Space-X and Delta rocket launches. The beach was always closed before shuttle launches because of the closeness to the pad. Playalinda is part of the federally-operated Canaveral National Seashore.

I believe that fee now also includes entry into the adjacent Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. That area has a nice nature drive with not only numerous alligators but also one of the largest range of species of any wildlife refuges in the USA; it is especially rich in birds. No t-shirt shops or McDonalds lining the beach at Playalinda. If you're looking for a natural beach experience, Playalinda Beach will appeal to you.

Playalinda is noted for it's well-known nude beach north of parking lot On any warm weekend, you'll find people on the nude beach.

Parking is limited at 13, so you may be forced to park at 12 or 11 and take the minute walk down to From any spot on the beach you get a great view of the launch site at Cape Canaveral. Since there are no vendors or vending machines at the beach, you'll need to bring everything you'll need for your day. Playalinda is quiet and never crowded. Quite a drive but worth the effort. Parking limited if you get there late. A great clothing optional beach. Signs on the way out say nudity not allowed but at car park 13 there are no signs and the rangers went past quite often on the beach with no concerns.
